In November 2017, East Africa CSOs met in Nairobi, Kenya to work on a common advocacy agenda to influence the implementation of the sustainable development goals in the sub-region.
IRC also participated in the workshop held by the African Civil Society Network for Water and Sanitation (ANEW), the Watershed program, and End Water Poverty. During the meeting, ten country CSO networks and partners underlined common challenges and discussed opportunities in engaging in advocacy to reach the SDGs. They also agreed on joint action on a regional level.
